Environmental Policy

SAVANNAH ENGINEERS (WA) PTY LTD will at all times promote and enforce waste minimisation activities and is committed to protecting the environment and demonstrate leadership in achieving the highest attainable standards in environmental protection.

SAVANNAH ENGINEERS (WA) PTY LTD shall ensure that all personnel including sub-contractors understand and are aware of their responsibility in regard to waste management

Furthermore, SAVANNAH ENGINEERS (WA) PTY LTD will:

• Promote at all times the company’s policies, procedures and standards relating to health, safety and environmental management and ensure that they are complied with;
• Always implement a policy of Safety First and respect for the environment;
• Increase the use of biodegradable materials, encourage recycling and ensure the clean and efficient disposal of waste; and
• Encourage full participation and commitment from all employees.

When purchasing plant, equipment and materials SAVANNAH ENGINEERS (WA) PTY LTD will: 

• Choose products that have recycled content, specifications, standards and availability are comparable to products without recycled content;
• Purchased products in bulk wherever possible to reduce package waste;
• Choose products that have a high content of recycled material;
• Choose products that are durable, not disposable or single use;
• Choose products that have been made locally or regionally and with minimal packaging;
• Choose products which cause minimal or no environmental damage during normal use or maintenance;
• Choose electrical equipment that is energy efficient, long wearing and parts are recyclable;
• Equipment using water is water efficient, energy efficient, long wearing and parts are recyclable;
• Products have been manufactured in an environmentally sound, sustainable manner;
• Products can be disposed of safely; and
• Products are non-toxic, minimally toxic or biodegradable.
